In her Aware series, Greek-Australian artist Leni Kae reimagines the ancient emblem, sigil, and sign of the Owl of Athena—the timeless symbol of wisdom, truth, and consciousness—as a portal to higher seeing.

Through delicate layers of watercolour, ink, and acrylic, she transforms this sacred motif into an eye of awakened truth, reflecting the soul’s journey from shadow into light.

Drawing from an ancient Greek heritage and deep spiritual practice, Kae explores the eye as both symbol and mirror: an expression of divine awareness and the meeting place of intuition and clarity. Each piece becomes an invitation to see through the soul—to perceive not only with the eyes, but with the inner light of consciousness itself.
