Leni Kae is an Australian artist, author, and illustrator based in Sydney. Her multidisciplinary practice bridges fine art, illustration, and storytelling — exploring the connections between emotion, symbolism, and creative transformation. Her visual and written works are inspired by nature and its energy, reflecting the deep relationship between the natural world, the human spirit, and the emotional landscape.
“I love working intuitively with nature, as both artist and writer,” Leni shares. “Nature and the arts offer us reflections without judgment — opportunities to understand ourselves more deeply by feeling our pure, personal connection to them.”
Known for her delicate linework, fluid patterns, and expressive drips, Leni’s watercolour and ink paintings are infused with spiritual connection, healing, and conscious awakening. As a self-published author and illustrator, Leni has produced titles across both children’s and spiritual genres, combining heartfelt messages with her distinctive visual style. Her books — including 100 Mantras for Your Heart & Soul, and a range of children’s colouring storybooks — reflect her belief in the power of art and story to awaken imagination, empathy, and inner peace.
Self-taught in her art practice, Leni also holds certifications in Meditation Teaching, Colour Therapy, and Educational Psychology, along with a Graduate Qualification in Commerce (University of New South Wales) — where she also studied higher mathematics — and Postgraduate Qualifications in Arts & Cultural Management (Deakin University) and Marketing (Charles Sturt University). These studies have strengthened an understanding of structure, human behaviour, and the balance between intuition and intellect — qualities that underpin the rhythm, symbolism, and conscious awareness present in her creative work.
Leni’s art has been recognised in numerous national and international exhibitions and art prizes, and her creative journey continues to bridge art, word, and soul — as pathways to understanding the sacred in all things.
