Leni Kae - Sydney Artist, Author, Illustrator

Leni Kae is an Australian artist, author, and illustrator whose work honours the connection between art, writing, and the human soul. Her creative voice emerges from the same place that guides her painting — an intuitive process that blends emotion, nature, and energy into both visual and written form.

Through both word and image, Leni explores the quiet language of the soul — how creativity becomes a bridge between feeling and understanding, the seen and the unseen. Line art drawings feature in many of her works, their fluid patterns and symbolic forms extending the rhythm of her words. Her illustrations complement story in ways that ignite imagination and stimulate discovery, inviting readers to experience her creations not only through narrative, but through a living sense of art and spirit.

Guided by this sense of imagination and self-discovery, Leni’s brush and words move with shared intention — both acts of expression, both prayers of creation. Through this union of art and story, Leni’s work becomes more than narrative or illustration — it becomes experience: a conversation between the seen and unseen, between creation and the soul that witnesses it.

Spiritual & Reflective Writing

Leni Kae’s writing explores the meeting place of art, spirit, and the unseen. Blending poetry, mantra, and story, her work invites readers to awaken creativity, deepen connection, and remember the sacred in everyday life.

Her debut book, 100 Mantras for Your Heart & Soul, is a collection of reflections for inner alignment and healing — the first in her growing Mantra & Soul series, with more coming soon.

Guided by the same energy that flows through her paintings, Leni’s writing offers gentle pathways toward consciousness and transformation — where words become prayer, and imagination becomes soul.

Stories & Colouring Books

As an Australian author and illustrator of children’s books, Leni Kae creates heartwarming and imaginative books for children that celebrate nature, kindness, and creativity. Her stories and colouring-in books encourage mindfulness, emotional connection, and a joyful sense of discovery.

Drawing inspiration from the beauty of Australian wildlife and the language of the heart, her titles — including How Many Australian Birds?, An Aussie Animal Christmas, and Mum & Me: Baby Animals Colouring Book & Affirmations, invite children to explore the world through image, story, and reflection.

Through her Colour & Keep series and other illustrated works, Leni helps children express their emotions and imagination through art, reflection, and play — nurturing creativity as a form of connection and calm.

Visual Storytelling

Illustration is the visual heartbeat of Leni Kae’s storytelling. Her drawings carry emotion through line, rhythm, and flow — each one an intuitive extension of the words they accompany. Whether rendered in delicate watercolour or expressive black-and-white line art, her illustrations reveal the unseen language that exists between text and feeling.

Leni often begins her drawings and illustrations as quiet meditations, allowing form and symbol to arise naturally — a wing, a wave, a pattern of energy. These motifs speak to the spirit of her stories: connection, transformation, and the beauty of nature. Her line art is both precise and fluid, inviting readers to pause, imagine, and feel their way into the narrative.

Through this visual dialogue, her illustrations become more than embellishment — they become portals into the heart of the story itself, where imagination and intuition meet, and meaning unfolds in every line.

Leni’s illustration and fine art have been commissioned for cultural and educational projects, including work for the Sydney Jewish Museum, as well as public exhibitions and private collections in Australia and abroad. Whether through the playful joy of children’s illustration or the contemplative beauty of her mantra and spirit series, Leni’s work continues to awaken imagination and honour the sacred rhythm of life through colour and line.

Education Influences

Leni’s creative and spiritual practice is supported by a diverse foundation of study that bridges the artistic, intuitive, and analytical. She holds certifications in Meditation Teaching, Colour Therapy, and Educational Psychology, along with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, where she also studied Higher Mathematics. She later completed postgraduate qualifications in Arts & Cultural Management at Deakin University where she achieved the Deans Award, and Marketing at CSU.

This balance between intuition and intellect deeply informs her approach to art and illustration — combining an understanding of colour, emotion, and consciousness with an appreciation for structure, rhythm, and universal pattern. For Leni, education and creativity are intertwined: each field of study has enriched her awareness of connection — between logic and spirit, order and flow — and how art can bridge them to awaken and heal.
